though they have their own language, and concepts thousands of years old, "cognitive bias" is something that is both warned against, and seen as a sign of a lesser developed mind ...

they of course have methods to deal with this ... it is the purpose for all spiritual practices such as meditation ...

the sign of an awakened mind? no cognitive bias, everything seen in the moment as what it is ...

scientists are so late to the party, but that is because they are only using half their brain :-)

very very true. I try to categorize the information which I will allow to influence my thinking as I synthesize massive amounts of data points. Some are allowed to influence, more than others. Some not at all, but get categorized into another data field called "new alternative thesis" and as further data points fill this bucket then that bucket starts to get its own analysis.
